Is Joe Buck his real name? Because that’s the name of Jon Voigt’s character in Midnight Cowboy! Ironies abound.
Yes, his father was the more famous and more worthy announcer Jack Buck.
As a lifetime Cardinals fan, I watched/listened to Joe “grow up” on the air. While he is not in his father’s class(even he admits that), I still enjoy his occasional foray into the Cards booth on homestands. He’s not as bad or vacuous as some people make him out to be(ok, vacuous, maybe, but bad? No way). All that aside… love the pic.
I have to admit, I feel like I did the whole “pile on” thing that happens within the sports blogging community. Probably not fair of me.
